Georgian writer’s unprecedented success at Berlinale

2018 starts with huge success for Georgian literature. The first Georgian novel was featured at a book section of the Berlinale Film Festival, the Books at Berlinale was held within the frames of the Berlinale Co-Production Market. Dato Turashvili’s The Other Amsterdam was introduced to representatives of world movie industry. Author Dato Turashvili attended the event. Annually, hundreds of books with different topics and genres are submitted from around the world, but only 12 best are selected by special jury. This year more than 150 books from 30 countries were submitted for competition. Berlinale selected 12 best and among them Georgian novel.
