On October 2, closing ceremony of “Golden Eye” took a place in Sheraton Batumi Hotel.
Winners have been revealed for the 6th times during Golden Eye history in the following categories:
- Best Student Work – Vladimir Beldian, „The Buzzing of a Bumblebee” (Russia);
- Best TV Cameramen – Sergio Garcia Locatelli “Moments of Campaign” (Ecuador);
- Risk Shot – Fouad Hallak „Backstage“ (Syria);
- Best Movie Cameramen – Eugeniy Kirey “Molotov Cocktail” (Ukraine);
- Grand Prize – Vladimir Beldian „The Buzzing of a Bumblebee” (Russia).
Special Prizes
Giorgi Tskhadadze – Special Prize for Professional Commitment;
Mircea Surdu- Special Prize of Innovator;
Eduard Suliko Kvirikadze – Special Prize for the Eldest Cameramen of Adjara Region;
Mamuka Chkhikvadze – Special Prize for the movie dedicated to Batumi;
Kakha Bekauri – Special Prize for Contribution to the Development of Georgian Media;
Nino Basharuli – Special Prize of Inagro;
Philippe Pocholle – Special Prize of Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia;
Marco Huertas- Special Prize from Kyrgyzstan;
Elman Aliyev – Special Prize of Jury;
Martin Ziaran – Special Prize of Georgian Public Broadcaster.
In the frame of the festival, variety of interesting events took place, every visitor of the festival had unique possibility to attend master-classes of two legends of world cinematography – Christopher Coppola and Bruce Nicholson. Also, famous Georgian writer conducted a seminar regarding Georgina movie history.
In the frame of the event, on October 1, the 3rd International Exhibition of Broadcast Equipment was solemnly opened, world leading broadcast, movie and radio manufacturing companies: (Panasonic, Canon, Sony, RTS, Evertz, LiveU, Manfrotto, Rosco, S-A-M, SoftLab, Fujinon, და ა.შ.) have been participated, they also conducted presentations for technical staff.
It’s worth mentioning, that in the scope of the exhibition broadcast, movie and radio equipment distributor Innovator, raffled DJI Phantom 4.
This year, for the first time Content Market took place, world leading producing and distributor companies have been taking part: Discovery; NBC UNIVERSAL, Flame Distribution, Russian Report, Igmar, FremantleMedia, Ignition, Intra Communication, EndemolShine Group, CTC Media, Team UEFFA.
