4th International Festival of Movie and TV Cameramen

On October 16-18 the 4th International Festival of Movie and TV Cameramen “Golden Eye” and the 1st International Exhibition of Broadcast Equipment took place in Georgia.

As an honorary guest Hande Ozsan Bozatli, the president of Assembly of European Regions, visited the festival.


“Golden Eye” 2014 offered: 

  • The 1st International Exhibition of Broadcast Equipment

World’s leading broadcast manufacturers exhibited their most innovative broadcast equipment:Sony, Canon, Fujifilm, Lawo, Linear acoustic, Litepanels, Monarch, Avid, Innovator, Evertz, Panasonic, RTS, Snell, JVC and Sachtler.

  • Master Classes from top specialists:

Bill Holshevnikoff – spoke about LED and lighting for the dgital image;

Hiro Narita Asc– spoke about the synthesis of art and technology and the evolution of cinematography;

ჯონ ჰენშალი– took us through some of the creative landmarks in his career spanning over half a century.

  • Public screenings of nominated works at Sony cinema.

Awards ceremony took place on October 18th and was broadcasted live by Georgian Public Broadcaster.

In 2014 works were presented from 29 countries.

Grand Prize – Martin Ziaran„Hany “ (Czech Republic);
Best Movie Cameramen- Jerzy Palacz„Shirley”  (Austria);
Best TV Cameramen- Antonio Costa- „The Blue Pencil”   (Portugal);
Risk Shot- Martin Ziaran„Hany”  (Czech Republic);
Best Student Work: Alexander Baev-„Once Upon a Time”  (Georgia);
 Serciu Ciorescu- „Market day”  (The Republic of Moldova);
Vince Knight-„The Domestic life of Mollusks”  (United Kingdom).

Special prize of Assembly of European Regions was awarded by president of AER, HandeOzsanBozalti

დავით გუჯაბიძე და გიორგი ხარებავა – „ღვინის აკვანი“ (საქართველო);
Special prize of UN women-Ina Nersesian (Georgia);
ZazaShengelia – Special prize for contribution to developing of Georgian Public Broadcaster;
VovaShengelaia – Special prize for contribution in developing of television industry, 50 years anniversary of his work in the field;
ალექსანდრე რეხვიაშვილი - სპეციალური პრიზი ქართული კინემატოგრაფიის განვითარებაში შეტანილი წვლილისთვის.
